Dame Sue Gray Appointed Chair of Sustainable Aviation Fuel Innovator CirculAIRity
CirculAIRity Ltd, pioneers in the development of synthetic Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), announces the appointment of Air Marshal Dame Sue Gray, DBE CB MSc, FREng, FIET as Chair of the Board.
Dame Sue retired from the Royal Air Force in 2022 after a 37-year career and has focused her skills and experience on the provision of clean energy for the future. She is a non-executive director with the UK Atomic Energy Authority as well as Chair of CirculAIRity. She brings a wealth of engineering and leadership experience, underscoring the company’s commitment to advancing energy transition on a large scale.
Dame Sue joins CirculAIRity at a pivotal time as the company grows its operations to meet increasing demand for sustainable aviation solutions. With a distinguished career in public service and a reputation for strategic vision, Dame Sue Gray will provide invaluable guidance and oversight, helping to steer CirculAIRity towards its mission of leading the SAF market with a viable, commercial solution.

CirculAIRity is dedicated to making aviation environmentally sustainable through the production of synthetic SAF. Unlike many SAF products CirculAIRity has an end-to-end process that is sustainable. Fuel is created using renewable power sources and the direct air capture of CO2 and water vapour, resulting in a net-zero emissions. By this ‘recycling’ process CirculAIRity ensures that CO2 levels from aviation do not increase, aligning with wider energy transition and global decarbonisation goals.
